She didn’t have the look of a cougar, but Jaiden was more familiar with the nature of the four-legged ones than the two-legged ones.

"Are you two queer?" David asked as soon as Charlotte and Andrew were out of hearing range.

Placing the photo back into the diary I over carefully turned the pages. After all, this little book was almost twice as old as me.

Jackie stared back and forth from one to the other. She recognized a physical resemblance but had no memory of them

“My plan? I had no plans, nor any thoughts of what might happen. Reanna said ‘Let’s go’ and I followed her.”

She halted mid-stride.

She visualized getting to know Paul, in the biblical sense, in every room of the house, and almost died at his next words.

“Wow, we really did spend hours with these things, didn’t we?”

He ordered their drinks and met her gaze again with a smile. It took her a lot of effort not to shiver with lust.


By the third sake bomb, she was naked beneath him in his bed.


“You do realize that you set me up with a woman?” I asked, my brown loafer tapping the hardwood floor steadily.


"Faith’s a lot easier to have when you’ve got a job, a car, and a sturdy roof over your head."


Two weeks of total bliss. They were never out of sight or touch with each other.


“You know this person?” Yana asked.




“You have to. It’s your responsibility to the kingdom.”





Stolen kisses are the best.

And who would’ve thought a vampire would be someone who liked the early part of the day?

Exhaling a lungful of fine Turkish, my bleary eyes widened when Ross Coleman pulled into the driveway.
I'd take my wine in a coffee cup, I'm not some kind of snob.
Paychecks always made people happy, except when they didn’t show.
Hank was in the visitors lounge on the phone.
“She’s been up and at it for twelve hours. I don’t know how much more she can take.”
It always sat empty and neglected, looking forlorn as if no one loved it anymore.

"I had nightmares about snipers and roadside bombs, but in the end he died here, because of me.”

Being borne among the fairest maidens in the land, she’d been hand-picked to avoid the drudgery of life in the kitchens with her mother, or in the laundry with her aunt. Instead, she was among the princesses most favored handmaidens.

How was she ever going to choke these down?

There was no way she was changing out of her yoga pants today.
  
“Tell me about this Prince Charming,” he whispered, his husky voice doing all sorts of things inside her.
  
“Go ahead, Andy,” Bartlett cajoled, “This is your uncle Jon. He`s come to take care of you.”
  
“I can be loud too,” I protested. “Next week I’ll be the noisy one.”
  
“You don’t get it, do you?” Declan tossed his bag over his shoulder and walked away from her.
  
When the craft reached the edge of the water, Knob picked her up as if she were a leaf and tossed her in.
