“Sorry boss, I wasn’t able to trace the call. Seems our Mr. Boris is smarter than we might have thought,” John said.
“I don’t follow. It should have been a simple trace either to a landline or a cell phone,” Jessica countered.
MICHAEL CHARTON (History)
In October 1999, I entered Poland on a train from Prague.  It was the middle of the night, with an open window in the train corridor staring into the black, flat night.

STEFAN ELLERY (Sci Fi)
Sven, stood in the hollowed out pit of the cemetery, a cemetery that once housed the bones of many families through its two centuries of life. He chuckled at the thought even though what he saw before him was not funny, it was a sin in the making.

CHRISTINA COLE (Historical Romance - Adult Content)
"The Gift"
A good night’s sleep would set the world to rights again. Exhausted from the journey home to New Orleans, all Marissa wanted to do now was shut the door of her bedchamber, blow out the lamps, and fall into a deep, dreamless slumber.

TUESDAY TALES, 300 WORD STORIES BY 14 WRITERS TO THIS PICTURE PROMPT

JEAN JOACHIM (Suspense)
"That Nice Little Old Lady"
Hmm, the ones that don't get scared off by this, have potential. Mary Small smiled.
V. L. LOCEY (Romantic Comedy)
"The Foggy Creek Hellhound"
Gerard and I cut through the town. Many of the houses were decorated for Halloween.
 DAVEE JONES (YA Paranormal Romance)

KAREN CINO (Contemporary Romance)
On the way back to Staten Island, instead of using the highway, Lorenzo drove through the streets.  This took Pia by surprise.
J. P. GRIDER (Paranormal)
Rosalina approached the house, anticipating the usual ghosts and goblins that surrounded it. Dressed in her own handmade Elizabeth Bennet costume, she was fearful her Regency period empire dress would not fit in with the customary bloodcurdling garb that most of the guests adorned.
STEFAN ELLERY (Sci Fi)
Earl, panicked as he ran into the shadowy Victorian house, the door
that was ajar sealed him inside.

“Pam, I need you.” Molly waited for an answer. Sure the house was scary not only on Halloween, but year round. The people that lived there were creepy too.

S.H. RODDEY (Horror)
From the front it appeared no different than any other house on the block – a well-kept two story monument standing as a proud testament to pre-1900’s architecture. Festive decorations adorned the front porch while spooky blow-up caricatures lined the steps like undead marching soldiers.
SIOBHAN KINCADE (Dark Comedy)
Winston Julius Damascus, III and his wife Isobel stood on their porch and looked out at the gaudy, garish Halloween decorations adorning their neighbors’ houses. They both hated this time of year for this very reason…the decorations.
MARIA FERRER (Contemporary Romance)
George Stuart pulled the legs apart and arranged them against the white fabric. The red blood provided a good focal point, which he liked. He stepped back and looked at his creation – stoic, still, lifeless.
CAROLYN GIBBS (Contemporary Romance)
