Tuesday Tales: From the Word Slowly

The dog days of summer are upon us, but this summer is unlike any we've ever had. Life has changed, and for many, each day is a struggle. If you need to escape from your reality, there's no better way than to immerse yourself in a book.

Welcome to this week's Tuesday Tales. I hope you'll enjoy this inside look at our writing processes. We offer you laughter, tears, a glimpse at the past and a chance to dream. This week's prompt is the word, SLOWLY. Read and see how all of our authors have used it. Feel free to comment on the various posts. We all love to hear from our readers.

We sat there, chewing, people passing by speaking all kinds of languages, and yet our table was unusually quiet.

As they stepped through the door, Mom was already pulling off her pristine gloves and unpinning the prim hat from her pin curled tresses.

The god of the sea was actually pouting.

I had barely been back in Glisten five minutes.

There are three Colchesters unaccounted for—Sara, Michael, and Timothy.

Jackie sat back in the comfort of the rich leather seats of her father’s BMW.
