JEAN JOACHIM (Military Romance)
“Get out of the car.”
        “What’d I say?”
        “Get out.”

Cody had never been one to go without women's attention, but he wanted nothing from the ladies of Willow Creek.
IRIS BLOBEL (Romance)
For a little while they sat there and enjoyed the gentle breeze of the sea. The water lapped   against the rocks further out near the old castle, and the salty air filled Nicky’s lungs.
MICHAEL CHARTON (Philosophy)
I may not be rich, but have food and a roof over my head.  What is money, but a way to get things?
KAREN CINO (Contemporary Romance)
Alexandra fumbled with her key.  The street light in front of the café blew out and the bulb in the old fashioned pole in front of the café was also off.  She had expected Billy to there already. But that was Billy, always full of surprises.

TAINA VICARI (Fantasy)

The Primier sat at one end of the conference table while Ishmael was directly across from him. The table had computer screens built in them where placemats would be and the Premier was reading its contents. As Ishmael patiently waited for him to finish, Sabrina and Henry stood in the far corner near the window observing.

MORGEN BAILEY (Crime)

"Root of All Evil"
Thelma was your root of all evil, not money, although being poor most of the time didn’t help. She’d wanted a new car and blamed you for not being able to afford one.
Silf, fingered the laser that hung at the side of her waist.
The tall alien moved forward and grabbed her hand, Silf did not resist.
KATHLEEN TIGHE BALL (Modern Cowboy Romance)
"Summer's Desire"
She had no choice but to wrap her arms around him. “Why didn’t you just call?”Stone stopped and looked at her. “She was crying hysterically and I didn’t even think.
 CAROLYN GIBBS (Romantic Suspense)
At dinner Dan strategically positioned himself next to Lacy, but across from Nancy, so he could keep an eye on her. He appeared calm, but inside racked his brain about that morning on the little island.
KALLYSTEN (Paranormal Romance)
Most days, Virginia enjoyed going to work. There was nothing thrilling about long sheets of numbers, rows and columns matching just so, with a few phone calls and emails going out when they happened not to match the way they were supposed to, but she didn’t need thrills at work; she had enough of those at home.
LEE ANN SONTHEIMER MURPHY (Sweet Historical Romance)
"The Root of All Evil"
Their outing ended much too soon.  After a delicious lunch – roast chicken with dressing and last summer’s green peas – in a busy restaurant – Katie hated to even think of returning to the Pythian House.
LINDSAY DOWNS (Sensual Suspense)

From his seat Jacques Demond watched as the terminal grew closer. Every four months for the past eight years he’d made this same trip, but today would be his last.
SHERRY GLOAG (Romantic suspense)

When Vidal tried to press money into the man’s hand he stepped back, his hands behind his back. “Phillipe does not tell us all, but whatever he decides we all support him.”
