TUESDAY TALES - STORIES BY 8 WRITERSTO THE PROMPT "BASEBALL"

Welcome! Time for Tuesday Tales. The word prompt this week is "baseball". Please click on the writer's name to go to their blog. Thanks so much for stopping by!
It had to be twenty-five years ago that Lorenzo Marcus stole her heart.  Her passion had always been sports, with baseball being on top of the list.
It’s a cool evening at the ballpark, with a breeze.  You eat ballpark food, which may not be good for you, but it’s tradition.
Paul looked towards one of the screens floating in the air above the
food court.
Although the July sun baked down over the neighborhood baseball field with intense heat, just enough wind stirred to raise a few dust devils from the bare infield.   As she stepped up to bat, Janiya watched them for a moment with curiosity and then she saw him.
The drought left the pasture as dusty, dirt colored cement.  Huge cracks revealing a depth of at least a couple of feet spread here and there across the barren surface.
"Summer's Desire"
Summer couldn’t remember being so frazzled, annoyed, and excited all at the same time. Beck had called her no less than five times, and it was barely afternoon.
“Let’s eat first then plan out the surveillance of the area,” Jessica said looking around as she joined the others inhaling the heavenly scent of fresh baked bread and steak au poivre with cognac sauce.
CAROLYN GIBBS (Romantic Suspense)
When Sam and Claire headed over the television lounge area, a baseball game was on the screen, the sound was muted. They stopped at the coffee bar and sat at two bar stools.
